The British and Irish Lions Squad and a tour captain in Australia will be called live in front of more than 2,000 fans in London’s O2 iconic O2 on Thursday, May 8th.

“I was lucky to embark on three lions of the tour and found out through a letter, Telegram and Ceefax – that was our version of the red buttons for the younger fans. And this announcement of the team, in front of our loyal fans, will be so remembered in its own way.
“There is a lot of rugby that is played between both May and Andy, and his coaching team will have extremely difficult decisions that will make in front of a tour in Australia.
“Players will do everything they can to book their places and we wish them all the best in the coming weeks.”
What are the lions?
After a conflict in Perth, the lions will face Queensland Reds on July 2 in Brisbane, Waratahs in Sydney on July 5, Brumbies in Canberri on July 9, an invitation from Australia and New Zealand in Adelaide 12 July and July 22.
