Paddy Brennan made titles during the Jumps season with his persistence to take over the Constitutional Hill to Hurle Champion, and his date with fate arrived.
The hero of the Cheltenham Festival in 2023 returns on the first day in an attempt to regain its crown, taking over last year’s winning state and a new candidate Whirperdaysahead.
On the first of the four a day, Cheltenham, Brennan and host Matt Chapman talked about all seven races on Tuesdays at the festival, joined by coach Tony Mulins and Jockey James Bowen.
“I think the shimmering Daysahead will win the champion obstacle,” Brennan said. “This 7 LB supplement is a lot of weight and that could be a difference.
“I think it’s good enough, even close to the level with the constitutional hill. I think we’ll see something special from her.
“I’m not here to knock the Hill Constitution and if he wins, I’ll be the first man to say,” Bravo. ”
In the meantime, Chapman has always been a great supporter of the constitutional hill and maintains his belief in the star of Nicky Henderson.
“Return the hour to 2019,” Chapman said. “Apple’s misery entered the obstacle of champion, winning an Irish obstacle and was sent with 7/4 favorites.
“Before the race, Gordon Elliott said, ‘She’s a monster. She’s something else. “What did she do?
“She never mirmed anything like a constitutional hill. He’s a freak.
“She will jump faster, she will travel better and will destroy her.”
