The US economy has grown by 2.3% in the fourth quarter, the trade department said

In the fourth quarter, the US economy increased 2.3% in accordance with the expectations of previous reading and economists.

The Bureau for Economic Analysis of the Trade Department (BEA) published its first edition for the fourth quarter of the gross domestic product (GDP), which found that the US economy grew at the fourth quarter of 2.3%, which runs from October to December.

Economists interviewed by LSEG expected the economy to grow from 2.3% in the quarter. The preliminary GDP estimate in the quarter, which was released last month, also made 2.3%, although economists expected 2.6% growth at the time.
