Littler Littler was cruising Maiden Ladbrokes UK Open Title after inserting three-time champion James Wade 11-2 in the unilateral finals.

Wade defeated World No 1 Luke Humphries and Josh Rock in Northern Ireland on the way to the finals in Butlin’s Minehead Resort, but was surpassed by the world champion.

Littler – who saw Gian Van Veen and Jonny Clayton during the day – fired an average of 101.51 and nine maximums in the dominant screen against Wade, winning each of the first nine legs that grabbed complete control.

Wade failed to use Wayward Fining during a tickling fourth leg, where the teenager re-broke in despite losing eight darts on double, and the world champion ended in the first session with a pure swelling with a 13-stubbing.

Return with 14 Darter and a 11-shot breaks moved Little 8-0 and raised the possibility of the first white washing up ever in the UK Open in the UK Open, using ‘Nuke’ that Wade missed three darts at DOUBLE to win the next one and move within two wins.

Wade: Littler hit me in bits!

“I played well at halftime, but in the finals he just threw me out completely,” Wade said ITV. “It seems pretty strange – I’m an older Darts player and he absolutely hit me in bits.

“What can you do against it? He was a far superior player, how much he kills me to admit it, that’s what he is. For me, it’s a great step in the right direction. Fair Play is probably the best or other best in the world at the moment.”
