Seeking clarity in connection with the latest tariff talks, President Donald Trump explained why he endorsed another monthly pause by 25% Levi in Canada and Mexico.
“I wanted to help Mexico and Canada to a certain extent. We are a great, great country, and they do a lot of our own business with us, whereas in our case it is much less significant. We do very little with Canada. And I wanted to help the American car by April 2. Fox Business’ Maria Bartiram in an exclusive interview.
“But it’s short-term. And I felt that for the benefit of American cars and USMCA … I thought it would be fair,” the president continued. “And so I gave them a little break in this short time.”
On Thursday, Trump announced that would be release most goods From Canada and Mexico, which are extending to the US-Mexico Cape agreement (USMCA) from its 25% tariffs for the next month.

“Tariffs can rise over time, and they can rise,” Trump from the barriers.
“For many years, globalists, big globalists, have broken from the US. They are taking money in the US. And all we do is what it returns some of them and we are going to treat our country,” he added.
