Mikey Lewis stated that it would be a “dream” for a one-day game in NRL, but the 23-year-old insists that he does not rush to leave Hull Kr.
Lewis, who won the Man of Steel Award last season, played a key role once again this season, helping his side to the top of the table ahead of the Leeds Rhinos trip on Friday Sky Sports.
Half has contributed to 15 attempts so far this season, and as its supplies are still growing, he admits that he would like to be tested in the NRL in the future.
Speaking BenchLewis stated, “My dream is to always go there, to Australia.
“When the time comes, it will come.
“I just like to watch the competition. It’s a fantastic league. Everyone can beat anyone.
“It’s just different there. You know, guys who come. Only the lifestyle of that and the whole … even outside the rugby, is completely different here.
“I don’t put any pressure on that. I like to play in this club. I have been given so much on the field, and I’m so much from him.”
‘Mature’ Lewis who wants to go a step further in 2025.
Lewis was contracted at his boyish club until 2028, and on Friday he returned from an injury in a 28-14 victory over Rival Hull FC.
He insists that his focus was reached last season when Hull Kr reached the big finals, but Wigan beat him.
And after becoming a father for the first time, Lewis feels that his experiences have left him in the last few months to feel “more mature”.
“Last year it was a huge year for me, obviously, picked up that award (Man of Steel).” He added.
“But 100% BiH changed it for that great final ring.
“But the person I become is mature, at least I have to think about what I do before I do it.
“These last few months have become a dad, I had to change a lot. My lifestyle is good, but now I have a son, so he is a major priority.
“Just to become a man, it can be difficult, but I enjoy traveling.”
