Luke Humphries warmed up for his Premier League Darts Showdown with Luke Littler, hitting his second nine-doders in the week at players 6.
The 2024 World Champion hit nine perfect darts in the first round of 6-3 over Andy Boulton on Wednesday.
Humphriers’ ran all the way to the finals in Leicester, with Jitse van der Wal (6-5), Luke Woodhouse (6-5), William O’Connor (6-3), Damon Heta (6-5) and Ross Smith (7-5), they took over 8-3 years ago.
Humphories’ perfect set followed six days after his last nine Darter against the Crosa commodity on the night of five Premier League Pikads.
Humphories found perfection in the second part of the 17th-nine-date match in the history of the Premier League and first from Littler’s final in the 2024 finals, took out the T20, T19, and then D12 to send Brighton’s crowds in anger.
It was also Humphories’ first television nine-desk, fifth in his career, and the second against Crossa after four 2023.
Humphries face Littler in the Night Six quarterfinals from the Premier League Thursday, while the first two in the world are heading to the Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena.
Humphries and Littler won four of the introductory five nights between them, and Humphries currently took a lead of two points over a teenage world champion at the top of the table.
