Lucas Paqueta will prove at a FA hearing in the coming weeks, Sky Sports News understand.
The three -week hearing began in March and then delayed. The hearing will continue in the coming weeks, and Paqueta will give the proof of an independent panel for the first time.
Paqueta has been charged with four points of fixing the video and two disturbance of the FA investigation in May 2024, after charges of being intentionally reserved in the Premier League games to make money for family and friends in Brazil.
The midfielder West Ham did not set any bets. It is believed that the bets in question were set by friends and family, with a total of 60 bets for relatively small roles.
The Brazilian internationary strongly denied any injustice, but Fa accused him of his behavior in matches against Leicester in November 2022, Aston Villa in March 2023, Leeds in May 2023 and Bournemouth last August.
FA is looking for a life ban on Paquet if it is found guilty. West Ham did not comment on when he approached them Sky Sports News. FA also contacted comment.
FA charges state that Paqueta has tried to “influence progress, behavior or any other aspect or occurrence in these matches, intentionally trying to receive a judge’s card for impact on the betting market to profit from betting.
Paqueta has also been charged with two violations of F3 FA rules in relation to alleged failures in accordance with the F2 Rule, which relates to the provision of information and documents.
In a statement at the time, Paqueta said, “I am extremely surprised and upset that Fa decided to collect me.
“For nine months, I worked with every step of their investigation and provided all the information I could.
“I deny the accusations in full and I will fight with every breath to clean my name. Because of the underway, I will not give any further comment.”
