CEO Kroger Co. Rodney McMulen left the post after his personal behavior investigation, the company announced on Monday.
Crogher said in his statement that McMulan’s behavior was “not related to business”, but still “contradicted Crugger’s policy on business ethics.” Removal of McMulle occurs several months after the end of the Crogue merger of 25 billion dollars with Albertson under his leadership. Albertsans sued Crogher for violation of the contract, arguing that they had made a deal.
“On February 21, the Council was aware of certain personal behavior of McMulen and immediately retained an independent lawyer for the investigation, which was controlled by the Special Committee of the Council.
Ronald Sargent is now appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors and the CEO in McMullen’s Place.
