On Wednesday, a scary incident took place in PNC Park during the second match of the series between Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs.
In the seventh inning, pirate veteran Andrew McCutchen hit a double double double to bring a 4-3 lead to his team. Shortly after the hit, the fan fell from the wall of Clemente 21 meters high in the right field, landing on the warning track.
The excavation players immediately pointed to a fallen fan, urgently seeking medical attention. Medical staff quickly arrived at the scene and a few minutes bowed to an unidentified man before transporting him from the field to the trolley.

After the incident, the game was paused for a few minutes while the man was transported to the hospital. The competition on Wednesday continued, but no additional driving was achieved, sealing a 4-3 win for Pittsburgh Pirates via Chicago Cubs.
The pirates bounced after having suffered a loss of 9-0 in the introductory match of the series of three games on Tuesday.
Pirates publish an official statement of a terrible fan incident
After the incident, Pittsburgh Pirates Published an official statement regarding an accident that happened at PNC Park. The statement read:
“Tonight, during the seventh inning of playing in PNC Park, an adult male fell from the right bleach on the field to the play field. Pittsburgh EMS, as well as teams for athletic training Pirates and Cubs and other PNC Park staff, responded and responded immediately.”
“He was transported to Allegheny General Hospital. For now, further information is available. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.”
Gusara derek Shelton leader and Curaig Counsell’s Cubs manager expressed condolences and wished the individual safety after the incident.
“I want to offer thoughts and prayers with an incident that happened earlier in the game and thank our medical staff, the medical staff of Cubs, EMS, to all who have reached the Lord and just ask everyone to hold him in your prayers,” shelton said (via mlb.com).
“I hope the gentleman is okay. I’m thinking about his family right now. Obviously scary. I didn’t see it happening, but I saw him out after the show. I hope everything will turn out to be fine,” Counsell said.
Gusari and Cubs will meet again on Thursday at the PNC Park in the finals of the series.
