Gordon Elliott decided to travel to Aintree with Lighterdaysahead, deciding to target Punchestown after disappointment in Cheltenham.
Mare ended the eventual fourth in the latest reconstruction of the champion’s obstacle on March 11, failed to justify the confidence of the connections that turned the obstacle of the mare in favor of the opponent’s constitutional hill.
In the race, Jack Kennedy’s Mountain struggled to claim at the competition and never threatened the first three, even after the state man fell when he was far clear at the last obstacle, setting the first grade title for a capture.
Lighterdaysahead has come to run with the Hill and Lossiemouth Constitution, but these plans are abandoned with Punchestown now the only final agenda on 2024-25.
Eddie O’Leary of Gigginstown House Stud owner said, “Gordon tells us that she is in very good shape at home, but he wants to give her a little more time after the last day.
“We will skip Aintree and go to Punchestown now, and all that is good, will go to the first mare on the first two and a half kilometers (Chares Champion Hurtle).
“We go to chase her next year, so this will give her the time she needs and hope she will run well at Punchorstown.
“It wasn’t the one in Cheltenham. We hope we’ll see her again in Perchownow. It’s a wrong way for her, but at least it’s two and a half kilometers.”
The yard still has a Woodhooh in a mixture for Aintree on Thursday, April 3, after its top -notch was shown to Martin Pipe on the Gold Cup Day at Cheltenham Festival.
