Gerwyn Price repeated his frustrations due to the “dishonest” conditions during the Premier League night in Rotterdam, saying he had reason to “get his toys out of the stroller”.
A week ago, Price embarked on social media to score a draft on Rotterdam Ahoy after his quarterfinal exit in Nathan Aspinall, writing that it was a “meaningless” evening with “Darts blowing everywhere”.
Welshman recovered in Liverpool at the 12th week to secure his third night victory in the season and enhance the hope of securing the playoff place, beating Chris Dobey, Robs Crosa and finally Luke Humphories.
Speaking Sky Sports About his victory in the M&S Bank Arena, Price said: “When the conditions are good and that is a fair game, I play some good darts.
“Sometimes I get my toys out of the cart when things don’t go on the trip, but last week I had a reason. We don’t deserve to play in those conditions.
“They say we have to play in Rotterdam every year, but I can surely find a place where it’s fair for everyone?

“People say it’s the same for every player, but definitely not. Some throw more difficult darts, longer points, thicker flights, it’s not the same for everyone.
“If you had the Snooker World Championship and raised one leg to one end, put it on the other end, I’m sure Ronnie (O’sullivan) would not have been pleased with that.”

Price’s third night triumph, which followed after winning the third week in Dublin and the sixth week in Nottingham, leaves it third in the 20 -point table – three Self from Michael Van Gerwen’s fifth plan – with the remaining four rounds of a regular season.
The best four players after the 16th week will arrive at the Play-off at London O2 on Thursday 29 May.

Price added, “I just want to make the top four. It doesn’t matter if one, two, three or four until I’m on O2 in a few weeks. It’s my priority.
“Today I managed to get five points and that relieves pressure. The game really good so there is no reason that I can’t beat every week.”

Sky Sports Darts Pundit John Part added: “I think Price will have to pay several more points just to be on the safe side for the play-off, but he looks really good.
“Of all the players except (Topper Table) Luke Littler, he is the scariest. He will know that he can beat anyone if he plays his game.”
