China warned the nations to protest the United States in a trade negotiations on President Donald Trump’s tariffs.
The Chinese Commerce Department spokesman said that Washington plans to put pressure on the government to restrict trade with Beijing in exchange for exemptions of US imported taxes.
The Trump administration, along with the Japanese delegation who visited Washington last week, began negotiations this week and talked with trading partners.
Since returning to the White House in January, Trump has become heavy in China’s imports, and other countries have also imposed a product.
A Chinese commercial spokesman said, “Peace can not bring peace and compromise cannot gain one respect.”
“China believes that all parties should be in terms of fairness. And we must defend the international economy and trade rules and multilateral trading systems.”
Last week, the Wall Street Journal reported that the United States plans to use tariff negotiations to impose new barriers to trade with China to dozens of countries.
The BBC asked the US Treasury to respond to the report.
Jesper Koll of the Japanese online trading platform, Monex Group, said, “If you increase the number, about 20%of Japanese profitability came from the United States, which is about 15%in the People’s Republic.
“I definitely do not want Japan [have to] Choose from the United States and the People’s Republic of China. “
Since his inauguration, there have been many announcements about tariffs.
The US president said he will encourage US consumers to buy more products made in the United States, increase taxes, and lead to major investments in the country.
But critics say that manufacturing to the United States will be complicated, takes decades, and the economy will have difficulty.
Trump also tracked many of his announcements.
He announced a 90 -day suspension of tariffs on all China in all China, facing opposition from politicians and markets, a few hours after the steep imposition of dozens of US trading partners earlier this month.
Trump imposed a tax of up to 145%on China’s imports. Other countries are currently facing a 10%blanket tariff by July.
His administration said last week that some Chinese products could reach 245%when new tariffs were added to existing tariffs.
Trump said more than 70 countries have contacted to start negotiations since the tariff was announced.
