Pope Francis to be discharged from hospital on Sunday

Pope Francis will be discharged from the Roman twin -seat hospital on Sunday, and doctors who treated him said.

The 88 -year -old boy was admitted to the hospital on February 14 with double pneumonia.

According to Dr. Sergio Alfieri, one of the doctors dealing with the pope, he has published “two very important episodes at risk of life” over the last five weeks.

Pope Francis has never been intubated and is always alert and oriented, Dr. Alfieri said. The Pope is currently in a stable state and requires at least two months of rest in the Vatican.

Dr. Alfieri told reporters on Saturdays, “Today we are happy to say that he will be at home tomorrow.

The Vatican said on Friday that his breathing and mobility slightly improved.

He no longer used mechanical ventilation for breathing at night, but instead confirmed that he was receiving oxygen through a small tube under his nose. During the day, we use less flow oxygen.
