Myanmar’s capital Nay Pyi Taw to be redrawn following earthquake

Last month, Myanmar’s capital, NAY PYI TAW’s layout, said it would be drawn again after the destructive earthquake last month.

At the government conference, General MIN AUNG HLAING General said it was greatly influenced by the collapsed building during the earthquake.

He said the office building would be rebuilt and resisted the earthquake in the future.

The BBC saw evidence that about 70%of government buildings were damaged by the earthquake of the capital, and some offices were transferred to Yangon.

Myanmar was devastated by a huge earthquake that hit this country on March 28. The 7.7 -sized earthquake was so strong that it was felt in Thailand and southwest.

According to the state -run media, more than 3,500 people were killed and 5,012 were injured as a result of the earthquake.

The city of NAY PYI TAW covers more than four times the London region, but there are only parts of people. History is short. It has existed since 2005 and grew up on the flat by Myanmar’s military rulers, formerly known as Burma.

The name Nay PYI TAW means “the place of the king.” The reason why the capital moves the capital is about 370 km away from Yangon, the largest city, was never clear.

This city has all the characteristics of the planned capital. In parliament, the width of the road leading from the presidential palace is 20 lanes, but there is little traffic. I lined up along the sparkling shopping mall and the empty luxury hotel. There are three or more stadiums in Safari Park, Zoo.

Since 2021, Myanmar has suffered a civil war between JUNTA, who took power in a military coup, and JUNTA, who seized the national militia and resistance.

On April 2, a 20 -day ceasefire was declared by the Military Council, and after the hostility of alliance consisting of three rebel organizations was announced,

The ceasefire was announced to help relief, but the army was reported to have attacked the rebels.

The Military Council’s photo storage center shows that several government buildings, including the Ministry of Labor, the Planning Department and the union court, were seriously damaged by the earthquake.

Most of the buildings are still in ruins because repair work has not yet begun.

The removal of important government documents is known to have been ordered with equipment and other moving items.

The reconstruction of the building could take several years, and as a result, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Tourism moved the office to the former capital of -366km (228m).

Other departments are moving to the open air hole called “Hotau” of Nay PYI TAW, which produced the office as a steel frame.

The social media posts written by the National Museum of NAY PYI TAW says they have moved inscriptions and manuscripts and are trying to save tens of thousands of books as much as possible with literature and computers.
