Rwanda and the Congo Democratic Republic agreed to respect each other’s sovereignty by May 2 and present the draft of the peace agreement.
The contract was concluded by Washington’s foreign ministers, and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also attended Friday.
In recent months, hundreds of thousands of civilians have been incurred in recent months, as Rwanda’s M23 rebels seized minerals rich in the eastern Congo.
After losing the territory, Kinshasa’s government went to the United States to get help with minerals.
The relationship between Dr. Congo and Rwanda is so poor that the promise to resolve the dispute through the meeting and dialogue of Washington is a sign of progress.
According to the text of the agreement, both sides expect the US government and the private sector to promote significant investment.
Despite the talks, the battle continued in Kibu North on Friday.
Earlier this week, Dr. Congo and the M23 group expressed their hope that they could concentrate on peace and reached a permanent ceasefire.
Congo’s eastern officials said that about 7,000 people have died since January.
The M23 has deepened the conflict for decades after occupying the unprecedented offensive and the two largest cities of Eastern Congo, GOMA and Bukavu.
Dr. Congo accused Rwanda for arming the M23 and dispatching an army to support the rebels in the conflict.
Despite the claims of the United Nations and the United States, Rwanda refused to support the M23.
