LAMY was named after the Vision of the European integration that Lamy worked closely in the 1980s and 1990s. LAMY served as an EU trade committee in the early 2000s and served as the head of the Secretariat of the World Trade Organization from 2005 to 2013. He is also vice president of the Paris Peace Forum and has numerous books on European, designated studies, global economy and world governance.
