Warsaw, Poland – The Polish Court on Friday surrenders an eight-year prison in the Ukrainian man who was convicted of planning the work acts of sabotage and fire on behalf of Russia.
The Court found the 51-year-old man in the southwestern city, he identified only as Serhyi S., guilty to be part of the criminal ring and preparing for fire on different structures in the city.
Polish state security officers arrested man in January 2024. years and remained arrested. The Polish Internal Security Agency claimed that he was acting for Russia.
Authorities said that preparation for fire at the color factory owned in the US and other cases.
Man denied charges, but recognized to accept internet orders from an unknown person to respect the fire in exchange for money.
Four other persons were charged in the case and more than dozens of other Polish, Ukrainian and Belarusian citizenship were arrested in connection with other acts of sabotage or espionage.
The Polish government says the country aimed Russia as part of the Moscow Hybrid War for Western countries supporting the Neighbor of Poland Ukraine in the war against Russian invasion.
