“We identify buildings and objects that are not major for state operations, or without the properties for disposal,” GSA said on its site. “The sale guarantees that taxpayers are no longer spent on vacant or insufficient federal spaces. The disposal of these assets helps eliminate expensive service and allow us to reinvest in quality working conditions that support the agency’s missions.”
The agency said the sale could potentially save more than $ 430 million annual operating costs.
