Woods announced the news on social media accounts on Tuesday.
The pioneering winner wrote 15 times: “With the sadness of my heart, I want to share that my dear mother, Coltida Woods, died early this morning.”
“My mother was a power of nature, her soul was simply unworthy. She was fast with the needle and laughter.
“She was the biggest fans, and the biggest supporter, without any of my personal achievements possible.
“She was loved by a lot, but especially by her grandchildren, Sam and Charlie.
“Thank you all for your support, prayer and privacy at this difficult time for me and my family. I love you, mom.”
Last week, Kultida Woods attended the TGL match for her son in Florida.
The father of the former scientist No. 1, Earl, died in 2006.
