South Korean battle nozzle accidentally lowers bombs, injuries 8 people

Seoul, South Korea – South Korean battle jet accidentally fell eight bombs in civilian areas during the training on Thursday, the injuries of eight people, officials said.

Bombs Mk-82 “abnormally” released in the KF-16 combat jet fell outside the Paljevic range, causing civilian damage, states in the statement.

The air forces said they would establish a committee to investigate why the accident occurred and examined the scale of civilian damage. It was said that the battle jet participated in joint airline exercises with armies.

The aviation apologized for the incident and expressed hope in the rapid recovery of injured people. It is said that they will actively offer compensation and taking other necessary steps.

The accident happened in Pocheonje, a city near a strong armed border with North Korea. Pocheon’s disaster response center said six civilians and two soldiers were injured and they received treatments in hospitals.

The Center officials said the conditions of four injuries were serious and that all civilians were. They said two severe strangers were seriously injured – one Thai and one Minaman.

Three houses are partially damaged, the Catholic Church and the greenhouse, but they do not seem to have hit the bombs directly, the center of Pocheon.
