A police officer said that he was “determined to follow” the trial of a football player in Chelsea Sam Kerr after describing it as “stupid and white.”
Australia International Care in a trial accused of causing a racist harassment to the Stephen Loville computer during an accident in southwest London in the early hours of January 30, 2023.
He claims that Care, 31, and her partner, West Ham Hammti Miuis midfielder, was drinking alcohol when they were transferred to the Tokkinham police station by a taxi driver who complained that they refused to pay the cleaning costs after one of them was sick, and that one of them broke the back window For the car.
Women told the officers that the driver was “behaving in a crazy way” by driving very quickly, stopped over, repeated and accelerated again, lock them in the car, and refused to allow them to leave for about 15 minutes, Kingson Crown Court heard the name “The trial continued on Tuesday.
Footage of the PC Lovell camera that the body previously generated with jury was played, as Kerr PC Lovell and PC Samuel Limb were told that she and Mrs. Mewis were “very afraid” and “trying to escape” from the cabin when they harmed the car.
At the police station, Kiir is allegedly “abusive and insulting” towards PC Lovell, describing it as “stupid and white”.
Kiir accepts the comments, but he denies that she is up to the accusation level.
The Crown Prosecution Office was originally decided not to charge Kiir, the court heard.
It was placed on PC Lovell that he made a statement claiming that Mrs. Kiir’s comments had caused alert or harassment after this decision.
In the first statement to CPS, the officer did not mention any “stupid and white” comment with an impact on it, and the jury was informed.
The police submitted a request to review the CPS decision not to prosecute, and the result would be limited to an apology.
The prosecutors later asked for more evidence and another statement from PC Lovell was presented in December 2023, with the alleged effect.
He read a section of the statement to the court, who said the comments made him “shock, bother me, (leave) I feel insulted.”
The charge was later declared in December 2023, that is, a year after the accident.
“The only reason we made in this statement is that the prosecution service in the crown has refused to be criminal for the prosecution of Mrs. Kiir,” said Grace Forbes, to defend Kiir during the interrogation.
“No”, before agreeing that the officers were dealing with whether they would follow up on the prosecution in August 2023.
“During July and August 2023, the Women’s World Cup was playing,” the defense lawyer said.
“If you say that, yes.”
Ms. Forbes said: “Mrs. Kiir was playing for her country,” and “she would have got a TV screen – do she remember her vision?”
The officer denied seeing the attacker on TV before the defense lawyer said, “This person who made you feel that you are not important.”
She added, “I was determined to follow this person, right?”
“Yes” and asked Mrs. Forbes “through criminal courts?” PC Lovell said.
The officer said, “Yes” again.
Ms. Forbes noted that CPS did not originally find any evidence of harassment or warning caused by Kiir’s comments, and the second statement of PC Lovell suggested its effect “purely for a criminal charge on the line.”
During the re -examination by Public Prosecutor Bill Emilin Jones KC, PC Lovell told the jury that he was called “F ****** stupid” that made him feel “anxious and annoyed.”
When asked how I felt that he was called “F ****** stupid and white”, he said, “I felt that she was very unnecessary.”
Mr. Jones asked if his race had “any connection as much as you can see what is going on,” PC Lovell said, “No.”
The Prosecutor asked: “Is this true, a personal computer, that you made something to get a charge on the line?” And he answered, “No, I did not create fees on the line.”
The trial continues.
