Renee Slegers welcomes Best Night Arsenal Reign while Alessia Russo calls the Champions League win over Real Madrid ‘Amazing’

Renee Slegers said Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Real Madrid is the best performance of her reign, while Alessia Russo insists that her side always knew that they could turn to the tie while Gunners abolished the first leg deficit of 2-0 to book their place in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Russo was in the heart of Arsenal’s quarterfinal appearance of the other legs in the Emirates, and two goals of the English striker assisted Sragers’ side to return from last week’s defeat in Madrid to win 3-2 on the aggregate.

Manchester City Loiee Chloe Kelly continued the amazing return to the capital with two assists, one of which was for the midfielder of the former Barcelona Marion Caldentey, who leveled the equalizer.

Gunners Boss Slegers, who took over in October in October before being named a permanent coach in January, will now lead his team against Lyon in the semifinal next month.

“We did really good things before and we had good performances against good teams, but this is definitely one of them,” Sragers said when asked if victory was the best night in his mandate.

“This is perhaps the clearest in which you play your opponent.

Arsenal achieved three times in 14 minutes after half to turn to the tie.

Russo came for the first time after Caitlin Foord ran into the field and fed Kelly to cross his teammate in England to apply a simple ending.

Russo: We knew we could turn around

Russo admitted that there was a huge disappointment after the first leg in Spain, but insists that the Topnica always knew she could turn the tie to keep their Champions League dream.

“I think the playing of the Champions League Night in Emirates is what it is about,” she explained. “We want to do it. That’s what this club deserves. And yes, the fans deserved it tonight. They were so loud. They were with us all. But yes, that’s exactly what you want to do when playing football.

“It was amazing,” Russo added after scoring twice and excluded two more goals. “I think it’s not yet set up. I mean, obviously we were disappointed last week, but I think as soon as we knew we were going home to the Emirates, we had the whole belief in the composition, in the team, so that we could turn it.

“As soon as we started from the first minute, I felt like we were at the top, even though it took a little time for the first goal. But yes, we have that belief in the team and we knew we could turn it.”

Williamson: The result of steps in the right direction in the Champions League

The result is held by Arsenal in the Silver Silver Examination this season – they are outside the FA Cup and eight points behind the leaders of the Women’s Super League Chelsea.

They are now facing a big test against the record -eighth Lyon winners in the semifinals, but Arsenal defender Leah Williamson believes Arsenal has taken a huge step in the right champions League against Real Madrid while they look to add a trophy that the club won in 2007.

“I’m friend with a lot of people who won him last time,” Williamson said.

“I know how much they want to stay in the club and we do it again. And we weren’t close enough, if we’re honest. So, we have to try to get back there. This was the right step.

“The Champions League attendance record for the quarterfinals (22.517 was on the Emirates). So it is like everyone together and everyone is driving in the right direction.
