Qatari Sheikh Tamm bin Hamad Al Thani says regional challenges require coordination ‘.
Qatar’s Emir held talks with Iranian President in Tehran in the middle of high tensions in the region, exhibiting a state visit that is expected to include a meeting with the country’s supreme leader.
“It is a pleasure to visit Iran today at the time where the region is witnesses to many challenges and development that require coordination,” said Qatar’s Sheikh Tamm Bin Hamad Al Thani in the Joint News with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkia on Wednesday.
Pezeshkian said that countries have strong relations and maintain “similar views regarding the region and international issues”.
The meeting comes as tensions and others through the region, and the fragile intersections hold the following months of war in Lebanon and Gaza and the Transitional Government in Syria after Removal of Bashar Al-Assad President.
The leaders discussed “the unity of the Syrian territory and the participation of all categories in Syria to determine their future,” Seik Tamm said.
Pezeshkian said Iran thanked Qatar in his mediation efforts in providing truce between Israel and Hamas in Gaza in Gaza after 15 months of the war of Israel.
The leaders also discussed the expansion of economic ties.
“We confirmed the necessity of research more chances in the field of economics and trade between our both countries,” sheikh Tamm said.
Tohid Asada, a professor of politics at the University of Teher, said the meeting “critically important”.
“We heard that two leaders put the emphasis on the necessity of peace in the region (s) on the need to spread (economic) relationships,” Asada said.
It was expected that sheikh Tamim would later introduce himself to Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran spiritual leader and her highest authority, Asada said.
