CEO Openai Sam Altman and other leaders Artificial intelligence (AI) Technology companies will meet with US Senate members on Thursday to testify about the future of II and its potential impact on the country and the world.
Altman, CEO Micro Micro (AMD) and Chairman Lisa Su, CEO Coreweave and Co-founder Michael Intator and Microsoft Corporation Vice-Chairman and President Brad Smith will testify to the Committee on Trade, Science and Transport at 10am.

“In 2026, II could unlock a new wave of scientific breakthroughs by developing experiments to solve the most difficult problems of America in the field of climate, health and national security,” he added. “And in 2027, robotics, which works on AI, can push profits from AI performance, into the physical world, solving ordinary tasks so that people can spend more time for work and activities they like.”
Altman wrote that in 2016 Cruz held his first hearing on AI when co -founder Openai Greg Brockman told the Committee that the models of artificial intelligence (AGI) were “probably 10 to 100 years”.
“Today, the science of II has advanced so significantly that we are sure we will reach this milestone during the time of President Trump,” ” Altman wrote.

“The same opportunities that AGI will, maintain scientific breakthroughs and accelerate human progress will also create new areas of risk,” Altman said. “That is why we are tirelessly red and we lead the industry in transparency.”
Ultimately, he said, “Goodwill exceeds the bad advice.”

The technology will bring humanity to what Altman called the “era of intelligence”, which he called “an era when everyone can be better than today in whom life.”
“This future can be almost incredibly bright, but only if we take concrete steps to ensure that the American version of the II, built on democratic values such as freedom and transparency, prevails over the authoritarian,” Altman said. “The rates may not be higher. And Congress is right that the US should lead the way.”

The Stargate flagship site is located in Abilin, Texas, and on Wednesday Altman, Brockman and Vice President of Prague Infrastructure Peter Hoshele stopped at the site to see its progress.
On the eve of the visit, Openai also announced a program called Openai for countries designed to help governments who want their own star brothers to build AI infrastructure.
