Veteran MLB Hunter in the Wendelstedt judge was involved in a terrifying situation during Wednesday in a game between New York Mets and the twins of Minnesota. The first basic judge was at the end of the line drive that hit him on the head during the seventh inning of play.
Fastball Louis Varland hit Tyrone Taylor at the top of the seventh inning, and the ball traveled to Hunter Wendelstedt at the first base. Although Wendelstedt tried to take the avoidable action, it was too late because the ball hit him in the head.
Wendelstedt immediately fell to the ground, and the Twins staff rushed to check the veteran court. Wendelstedt left the match after the incident and was sent to further scan.
“Hunter passes additional tests at Minneapolis, and he encourages us to be in a good mood when he was in contact with our medical staff. We will continue to monitor his status,” the MLB statement said.
