Lane Kiffin will enter his sixth season as the main coach Ole Miss Football. He could not be grateful for the occasion that Oxford had given him, which he nurtured to this day.
While talking to journalists and fans gathered at the University after official spring practice, Kiffin opened up about their decision to change life to stay in Oxford. He was used to being in a fast environment, especially during his mandate in Alabama under the wings of the legendary coach Nick Saban.
But Lane Kiffin says things have changed now, and it was his best decision for Oxford to become his new home. Journalists present at the University were asked by Kiffon about his transitional phase and how different the city was compared to his past experiences. Veteran coach mentioned that he was in several cities like Alabama and Southern Florida, but many and passion for football in Oxford are unique.
“It’s a great question. I actually made an episode on a pivot, a show that I think is going out next week. They were only here a week ago and this was a big change for me to come here and now in high school and college,” Kiffin said on Saturday.
“And so, I have to see Oxford through another lentil, because at first I was here as the main coach. Then I had to see it as a parent. I have to see the value of people here. And that really helped me change a lot because I would say that I always somehow moved somehow.
“I was like sitting in La -Ii southern Florida, and then he came here, it’s a lot slower. And that was really good for me. And so, it was a great time,” he added.
