Follow the steps Kevin Durant,, Zion Williamson and Anthony Davis as the only freshman who won a wooden award. How to achieve this in perspective?
Flagg: “I don’t think I’m able to put it in a perspective. It’s just a surreal feeling and it’s an honor to be here and get this recognition. That’s such a cool feeling to get this recognition. To be in that company and follow that heritage as these three players as a freshman to win a prize, it’s just a cool feeling. It is definitely cool to join such an elite company. It just gives me a lot of confidence.”
Which player would you like to shape your game after the most?
Flagg: “I would not say that I shape my game behind them. But the way they play and how hard they play, I try to be my own player on the field and make as many winning performances as possible. But these guys definitely have something special for their game.
What do you admire in their games?
Flagg: “Only IQ and the effort that everyone plays and defensive versatility. This is something I can compare to.”
What do you take away from your NCAA Running and as a team that reaches the Final Four of your own game?
Flagg: “It was an amazing year and an amazing trip with a lot of great, great people. I made a lot of really good relationships that I will have for the rest of my life. Obviously didn’t end the way we wanted (with a loss from Houston), but it was an amazing trip. It was an amazing ride with that team. I have no regret for anything. I wish we could have done it. But it was an amazing year. There are lessons in everything is success and disadvantages, losses and victories. I just have to move forward and take the things I learned and moved forward. “
What are the keys to play at high level after ankle injury?
Flagg: “Returning from the injury, I got with a medical team and got with the coaches. I did rehab and did everything I had to do. We have an amazing staff in Duke with Jose Fonsec (Chief Athletic Coach) and Nick Potter (High Performance and Sports Science Director), two guys who really helped me and helped me the central part of the mema that were in line with my guarantee,
What is your favorite emphasis between your dusts and 3?
Flagg: “Probably Dunk Vs. Pitt at home. It was a crazy knock. That was probably one of my best downtown my so far. That evening it was electric in Cameron (closed stadium). So just a return to that is a great moment. It was just the game itself. You do not get such a downtown very often. It was an electric game. The energy in the gym was at a really high level. That made him much more fun. “
Can you take me through that moment as you pulled it out and the emotions you felt?
Flagg: “I just picked up my third faul. And then the guy posted me, so I left him, tried to go around and get the theft. I saw a lot of open court. So I threw out the ball and ran through it. Once I saw an open space, I really pulled it. Then I retired. Then I threw myself away. Then I threw myself away.”
What is it like to watch a replay?
Flagg: “I definitely didn’t realize how much I jumped or how high I got. So, to see the reproduction is quite cool and knowing that I am even able to do something like that.”
How did you get so many players cluttered on last year’s US Scrimage team?
Error: “The whole experience was surreal for me Be outside to compete with the highest level of competition in the world. You know that all the best players are from the best league in the world. So, fighting and playing against them was a surreal feeling. I learned so much that I was on the ground and shared the court with them.”
What do you take away from the support and feedback of LeBron, Steph and KD?
Flagg: “I think it’s really cool to hear them talking about me in a positive light. These are players I grew up looking at and growing up idling. Hear them talking about me and say I could hold my own, it’s really cool. It just gives you a lot of confidence.”
