With 1,100 miles in one day a race in Indycar and Series NASCAR CUP the car waiting for Kyle Larson In less than three months, he knows that he can only do so much when it comes to focus.

Therefore, he will focus on his schedule NASCAR over the next few weeks, while the Indycar series starts, starting this weekend in St. Petersburg.

“I’ll watch, but a lot of weekend, … I don’t have to watch them finish,” Larson said in Atlanta last week.

And there is a good reason for this for a driver who hopes to make an Indianapolis 500-Coke 600 double on May 25th.

“I’ll pay attention (to Indycar), but if I race when they run – I don’t have a TV in my racing car,” he abolished.

If he had a TV, some would wonder if Larson was talented enough to race and watch at the same time. He is proven skilled in the race of many racing cars styles. Larson could have the opportunity to watch more this weekend while the St. The heel lasts before Nascar events with television broadcasts at FOX.

Larson will return to Indycar at the end of April at the Indy 500 testing, and then will be in the car for two weeks in May, leading to Indianapolis 500. He finished 18th in the race after the penalty for speed accelerated any hope in the Top-10 ending.

He will ride again for Arrow McLaren in partnership with Tim Hendrick Motorsports Stock-Car. He hopes everything goes as smoothly as it seemed to lead to the day of the race, and then that racing day ends smooth.

Last year, the rain delayed the onset of Indianapolis 500, and Larson decided to finish Indianapolis 500 Justin Allgaier Starting at 600 in Larson’s car. Larson arrived in Charlotte to enter his part of stock – at the same time the same storm system that delayed 500 reached Charlotte. Larson never got into the Cup car, and the race was declared official when the rain had not disappeared.

If it happened the same this year, Larson would return to Charlotte and not racing at 500. While Larson and Rick Hendrick stated that it was their intention, Nascar was quite sure of the rule that if the driver did not start a non -medical reasons, the driver would lose all the players to play the whole season. The playoffs are crucial when it comes to progressing through NASCAR’s playoffs.

“That this was a new rule or not. I think our priorities probably look different for this arrival of the Indy 500 and a double attempt,” Larson said in an interview before the 2025 season. “That’s what it is.

“I think you will see how more than me and a double attempt appears and it will be more on people … who will suspend the race. There will become a bigger job than he missed me 600 last year.”

Larson must pay attention to Indycar at least a little. Will have two new teammates in McLaren as only Pato O’ward It’s the same among three drivers. Nolan Siegel In the summer he joined the team in what is a rotating driver in car number 6 after David Malukas injury. AND Christian Lundgaard has replaced Alexander Rossi.

Both Siegel and Lundgaard said they did not know Larson.

“I don’t know them either,” Larson said. “This is what I’m looking forward to running with running new competitors and binding and watching how different people work and see people who grew up in different backgrounds not only culture but also different racing cars and how their mindset can be different from the way I could prepare or view the race.

“I spent great with my teammates I had last year and I look forward to finding out from these guys this year.”

And he looks forward to the month of May.

“It was a great experience,” Larson said during the Dayton 500 show on Fox. “Obviously, the race was really cool, but for me, everything that led to the race was something I would never forget.”

Larson said he felt if things went right, he could win Indianapolis 500. And he felt that if things were going as planned, he would not physically have problems with two races.

“Last year, I took training and health more seriously than I had ever had before,” Larson said. “And it was good to live through 500. Later I felt fresh and felt confident. I felt completely fine 600 miles (if I could run them).”

And obviously he hopes for a better time.

“I really want to repeat it because I didn’t do it technically,” he said. “I want to do twice, how it would be to run 1,100 miles.”
