On January 23, Baldoni’s lawyers filed a response, calling Lively’s attempt to issue a gag order an “intimidation tactic” and a “tactical ploy.”

“Having publicly made damaging allegations that the Wayfarer Party can prove false, the Lively Party is now invoking the attorney disciplinary rules as an intimidation tactic,” Baldoni’s legal team wrote.

“The Lively Party’s desire to force the Wayfarer Party to defend itself privately against public allegations is not an appropriate basis for a gag order. It is tactical skill, and it is outrageous.”

After a “bombshell” New York Times article included Lively’s sexual harassment allegations against Baldoni, releasing the unedited “This Ends With Us” footage was vital to protecting Baldoni, the filing says.
