Jon Lewis leaves the role of the main coach of England after being tossed 16-0 in the ashes

Jon Lewis was the main coach of England after running 16-0 in a number of ash formats this winter.

England lost all seven matches in Australia during January and February, with a 3-0 movement in a one-day international series and T20 International, followed by a defeat of the insertion in the only test.

Lewis took the post of women’s team in November 2022 and won 52 out of 73 indebted games, as they adopted an attacking style, emphasizing that in 2023 he secured an 8-8 ash draw, while the side returned from 6-0 down.

During his term, he was unable to lead England to the global white ball title, with a semi -final defeat against the host of South Africa at the T20 2023 World Cup, followed by a group stage in the 2024 edition in the United Arab Emirates.

The English tournament that ended with West Indies last year followed in the midst of a scattered appearance on the field, in which they dropped five catch and looked without a helm with Captain Heather Knight from the field, nurtured the calf injury.

There was no update of Knight’s future as a captain after the AShes debacle.

Lewis: I worked tirelessly in this role

Lewis, a former Bowling coach, said: “I thoroughly enjoyed my time as the main coach.

“Unfortunately, I will not be able to finish this incredibly challenging, but a pleasant job of developing this young team, as I win and grow the women’s game in this country.

“I have worked tirelessly with this group of young players on the development of their skills and understanding of a modern white ball, while he still achieved good progress in 2024, winning 83 percent of all our games.

“I am proud that in 2023 and 2024.

“I want all the players best and thank them for letting me be part of their trips.”

Clare Connor, General of the English Women’s Crown and Deputy Executive Director, said: “I would like to thank Jona for everything he gave in his time as the head coach.

“He entered the role after a very challenging period for cries during the Coid-19 pandemic, and one of his priorities was to create the right conditions for a team of flourishing and developing.

The future Heather Knight as the captain remains unclear

“Under his leadership, Tim kept Australia to attract an exciting ashes from 2023 – attracting a record crowd with a fun cricket brand – while consistent success of a team in the bilateral crisis included exceptional eight victories of Odra’s ODO, for which he should take a real loan.

“Although the recent female World Cup of the T20 and female ash in Australia are disappointing, there is no doubt about the talent we are at our disposal and we will soon strive to name the successor.”

English ashes tour from hell

The English campaign for the ash was misleading the wrong steps, with the inability to strike against Spin, regular fields and bizarre words and behavior criticized.

Prime Minister Spinner Sophie Ecclestone refused to interview former teammates Alex Hartley after the latter questioned the fitness of England after leaving the T20 World Cup.

Lewis also suggested that England did not match Australia athletic to “cultural differences” between the people, saying that their opponents had benefited from a lifestyle outdoors.

The players also insisted that England was not far from this versatile Australian side, but the results told a different story and who succeeded in Lewis as the main coach will not only need to produce results, but will also receive public support.

Seamer Kate Cross said recently that ash landing was probably lost by England fans, and the renovation process began with a series of T20 at West Indies from May 21st.

Edwards next as the main coach of England?

Charlotte Edwards, the winner of the ash and the World Cup as the Captain of England, looks like a leading candidate who will replace Lewis after following a starred career with success in training.

The 45-year-old won a hundred with Southern Brave, a women’s premier league with Mumbaj Indians and a lot of silver accessories with the now defective southern Vipers.

Edwards was recently appointed Chief Coach Hampshire Women, so he pulled her out of that contract could be tiny, even though she said BBC -ovi Strained podcast to be ready to help its national side.

“I don’t care who’s trainers or captains team, I just want the English cricket to return where it should be, Edwards said.” We need to use people who know what is happening to help. I feel I am able to help and support the ECB.

“I have a great experience at the county level and work at WBBL, we hope someone will pick up the phone and ask what we need to do to improve.”

Another Jon Lewis, currently the main coach of the English woman and could also be running to inherit his namesake.
