Kars confident of England series return
England have little room to maneuver if they want to give Brendon McCullum a successful start to life as a head coach in all formats, but Cars remains optimistic and believes there is more to come from the tourists.
Asked if he still felt England could win the remaining three matches and the series, Cars said after Saturday’s defeat: “Yes, of course, 100 per cent.
“It’s very clear that the performance was much better than last night but we didn’t deliver a complete performance. It’s very exciting to see where we can go over these next few games.
“I felt we got a good score on the board and kept taking wickets throughout the match. Credit to Tilak, he played a very mature and intelligent innings and in the end he was the difference in their team.”
