Scottie Scheffler equalized the record of a memorial park course, which he set up in 2021 to take the lead with one hit Houston Open hit with the weather.
It was the most complete circle of the year for Scheffler, who missed the first month of the season, which was recovering from a freak wound from breaking the glass omissions held on Christmas.
Scheffler opened its circle with two birds, the other one saw him a hole of just 30 feet after the only missed green of eight under 62 years.
“Yesterday I felt like I made a couple of key couple savings, and today I felt like I was mostly a golf course in front of me and I had a lot of appearance for the bird,” Scheffler said.
“I didn’t feel like I was struggling too much for the couple, and that was mostly because I was on a fruitful path.”
It was the eighth time Scheffler shot 62 or lower – one of them was 59 in the FedEx Cup playoffs at TPC Boston 2020 – and the first since he had shot 62 in Le Golf National in the last round to win an Olympic gold medal at 2024 Paris Games.
He led one shot over Canada Taylor Penrith, while Jackson Suber, who ended the first round with a double shot of four times, was three lags.
Time desolate on mcilroy
Rory McIlroy played in the afternoon and started 11 shots behind Scheffler. The cardio of the birds backwards and knocked the seventh hole before the game was suspended for lightning.
“It was a lot different than we thought it would be,” Scheffler said. “Today he looked – checking the forecast this morning – it will be one of those days where we will play and turn off, looking at a few delays outside.”
Instead, he was with a 10 -foot bird at 10. holes and 25 feet in 11th place from the beginning. Scheffler played Begey-free in another round.
Scheffler thought his iron game was not as sharp as he wanted, but he knew he had a good feeling on the greenery and did not have to attack needles if he had no need.
This led to a stress -free circle in which there were eight birds and left Scheffler in a position half the entry into the weekend of his last start before Masters, Live on Sky Sports.
