A helicopter crashed in the northern Philippines province, killing the pilot, who was the only person on board after it was transported to a nearby city

Manila, Philippines – Philippine officials said on Sunday that a helicopter crashed in a Filipino district in the northern Philippines, killing its pilot, who was the only person on board the plane after a passenger moved to a nearby city.

The Civil Aviation Authority in the Philippines said that the four -seat helicopter owned by a local carrier company that took off from the Philippine capital, Manila, on Saturday to the city of Bagoio in the Northern Jabal Resort, where it fell from the passenger.

From Bagoio, the helicopter fell in an air landing in the town of Pinonan in the nearby Bangasinan province to refuel on its way to Manila.

Banconan airport officials indicated that “the plane had difficulty restarting its engine” before it was able to take off before the darkness, according to the Civil Aviation Authority.

The helicopter was later crashed into the swamps area in Jimba, in the province of Noya Isija, southeast of Bangasinan. Police officials said the pilot’s body was recovered from the wreckage, which he partially flooded in the swamp.

Air authorities were investigating the cause of the accident. The Philippines had a history of accidents that involve small aircraft in recent years.
