Grand National Festival: Hiddenvalley Lake too much at Aintree’s Liverpool’s obstacle to Henry de Bromhead

Lake Hiddenvallley claimed that Ivy Liverpool’s obstacle in Aintree’s fine style for coach Henry de Bromhead.

Third to the strong leader of Olly Murphy in this event 12 months ago, the eight -year -old was in Ascot before Christmas on a long walk, but was an opportunity for 12/1 after a disappointing presentation in Gowran lately.

“He is a beautiful horse, he was just a chincior in Ascot. The last day was disappointed by Gowran, but it’s nice to bring him back.

“We’ll enjoy it today. I think Bob Olinger will hope to go to Punchestown, but both horses will get entry and we will see closer time.

“I would say that now we will stick to the obstacle with this horse. We tried to jump (fences) several times, and it seemed that he did not accept it.”

Murphy said of a strong leader: “He was running well, but Sean (Bowen) was very frustrated because they did not go to Galop, which meant he had to drive him more practical than we wanted.

“If Galop left, maybe we won? Maybe, but the best horse won on a day, he started the crackers again.

“We didn’t say at least, they didn’t go Galop and we had to drive it differently to normal, but he ran very well.

“He is just a very strong view and they did not go quickly. He also landed on all four on the second most welcome who did not help.

“I’m very happy, but you want to win, right. This is his race, he loves him here. These are the straight paths he wants, so we will be all right, we will start in Wetherby, go to Newbury, probably skip ascot on Christmas and maybe look at leopardstown, something like that (next season).
