Dubai, United Arab Emirates – French citizen imprisoned in Iran for more than 880 days was exempt from, French officials said Thursday.
French President Emmanuel Macron wrote online that the French citizen Olivier Grondeau was released. He offered immediate details about what he led to the GRONDEAUA release, although he came to NOWRUZ, the Persian New Year, when Iran released prisoners in the past.
Jean-Noëlgrot, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, has published a picture on the Grondeau Laughter on board what seemed a private jet. In her lap, he seems to be a picture of the Pop Star Britney Spears, something that the official did not recognize in a welcome Grondeau.
“We will continue our efforts to ensure that all our compatriots were still hostages, including Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris, were released,” Barrot wrote. The Macron also raised the case of the other two French citizens held in Iran.
The Iranian government did not immediately recognize the release of the Grondeau. Such editions of Westerners in Iran usually come in exchange for something. At the beginning of this week, the Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said France arrested Iranian women who supported Palestinians, but said Tehran was still trying to collect more details about her case.
