A 55 -year -old woman from Minnesota died on Friday, after the umbrella incident in Elay, Arizona, according to the police.

The officers of the Elawei Police Department were sent to Arizona on Taylor Street at approximately 4 pm on Friday, after receiving reports of the paratrooper who suffered complications during the landing.

The scene was also a member of the Ilwi Fire area, and when they arrived, a medical staff found the individual, which the police later identified as Ann Wake, 55.

Emergency crews immediately started life -saving measures, although Wake announced his death in the end of the accident.

Arizona said in a press statement that Wake had about 265 leaps under her belt.

The company also noticed that eyewitness accounts indicate that the free autumn phase of Skydive’s looks normal, while spreading the umbrella as expected. Although the umbrella was fully spreading, according to the design, the observers noted that “the umbrella was turning,” the company said.

Witnesses told the company that the paratroopers do not seem to take corrective measures, and the spare parachute has not been deployed.

The company said in a statement, “The Arizona community in Arizona is saddened by the loss of a member of the jumping family,” the company said in a statement. “We expand our heart condolences for her family and friends during this very difficult time.”

The company also said it was fully cooperating with the local authorities to help the investigation.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating the accident, which includes a comprehensive review of the equipment, procedures and conditions surrounding the deadly fall.

The accident also occurred in Skydive Arizona in EUY, Arizona.

The man who died, Terry Gardner, and three other dark jumping devices spent a third jump from the day when the holidays occurred.

In a non -relevant fatal accident, about a month ago, a hot air balloon with eight of the parasols jumped, killing the pilot and three passengers, while he was seriously injured in another passenger. The hot air balloon was not operated by Skydive Arizona, although it was shattered in EUY. Immediately before the accident, all the eight hikers were said to have left the hot air balloon.

Despite the deaths of umbrella jumping, Skydive Arizona notes on its website that umbrella jumping sport achieved the lowest rate of death in the date recorded in 2024.

“According to USPA, there were only 9 deaths in the United States-a testimony on a sport that adopted not only the excitement of free fall but also to the strength of the approach that society drives in safety,” the company noted its website. “To put this in its right quorum, more than 3.65 million jumps were made throughout the country in 2023 – the last registered year.”

The company said in its press statement that it is still committed to supporting the highest safety standards.
