English Marco Penge requested his maiden title World Tour on Hainan Classic just two months after returning from betting for betting.
Penge was handed a three -month ban with a month suspended in December last year, after “putting out more golf events” in violating the tour of the tour’s integrity program. He didn’t bet on himself.
Since then, he has put it behind, finishing in third place in the Investec South African Open Open in March before he recorded a win in three goals in China to get into the winner’s circle for the first time.
Penge started the day in the leadership part, but one shot was found behind the accused Sean Crocker, while nine began on Sunday.
The 26-year-old then produced a timely hat-trick of birds at 12, 13 and 14, to racing from the chasm and sealed the victory.
The American Crocker finished second, along with the Norwegian Christoffer Reitan, 14 under the couple, and the days of Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen is another goal back.
Penge said, “That obviously means the world to me.
“It’s something I’ve always dreamed of achieving – winning the biggest stage.
“After my free time, it was a thing I wanted to really prove to myself and prove to everyone, show what kind of player I was.
“My Caddy, during that time, was my rock. And my wife and my whole team – I wouldn’t be where I am without them. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”
Penge also booked his map for the American PGA Championship at Quail Hollow after coming to third place on the Saming Charce.
Keita Nakami is at the top of the chart after she finished 11th in Mission Hills Resort Haikou, while Eugenio Chacarra was second and Penge third, with all three players now headed to the second major of next month.
