In the release, obtained exclusively by Fox Business, DHS stated that the TSA is more engaged in “full -time work” rather than performing 86% of US airports.
This means that of 432 Federalized airports374 airports have less than 200 TSA staff to perform screening features. These officers pay the government, but work “full -time trade unions” and do not retain certification to perform screening functions, DHS said.

The Department cited the recent TSA employees survey, which showed that more than 60% of “poor performers” could remain at work and “not surprisingly, they continue to do.”
DHS said these circumstances hinder TSA’s main responsibility “for protecting our transport systems and safety.”

DHS noted that the security service staff will now be promoted on the basis of their results, not durability and union membership.
