Democratic lawmakers claim that President Donald Trump’s imminent tax on international goods will raise the costs, despite spending years to blame the high prices from the Biden administration.

Trump signed an executive order on Saturday night to impose a 25 % tariff on imports from Mexico and Canada and a 10 % tax on all imports from China, and according to promises he made during his 2024 presidential campaign as a way to circumvent drug trafficking in the United States in the United States

The definitions in Canada and China are scheduled to enter into force in the middle of the night, but Trump announced on Monday that it will stop the tariff on Mexico for a month after discussions with President Claudia Shinbom. However, with a loom on the identification horizon, Democrats claim that they can raise bills for ordinary Americans, despite the support of many tax increases within the framework of the Biden administration.

“This is a terrible idea,” Senator Mark Kelly, De Areez, said in a statement. “People are already struggling to move forward because of the high prices, and now President Trump is about to raise grocery and gas prices while raising the costs of Arizona’s business.”

Senator Mark Warner, D-FA, claimed that the Trump tariff “may cost a model family of $ 1,200 annually”, while Representative Jimmy Raskin, DMD, said that “President Trump has the consequences of economic and national security.”

In addition, Democrat Greg Stanton of Arizona gathered a letter with 42 legislators calling Trump to “cancel” the 25 % definitions on Mexico and Canada.

“Trump’s tariff for Canada will do nothing but harm American workers and car manufacturers. It gives our competitors abroad a leg,” Senator Gary Peters, De Mish, claimed a reaction to the imminent tax.

Senator Chuck Schumer, DN.Y. “It will be great for Donald Trump to focus on lowering the prices instead of making it rise.” “I am concerned that these new definitions will increase the costs of American consumers. We must focus on facing competitors who resort to the game, such as China, rather than attacking our allies.”

While the Democrats unite to criticize the Trump tariff, party members have not widely retracted the tax increases carried out by former President Joe Biden.

During his administration, Democrats supported Biden’s proposals for a set of tax increases, including increases on small companies, companies, capital gains, profit distributions, personal income, energy and second real estate tax.
