Dave Matthews withdrew the stars inlaid on Thursday at the last minute on Wednesday, citing “a severe disease in the family.”

“Because of a serious illness in the family, Dave Matthews is unfortunately unable to perform in the benefits of Fireaid and Musicares this week,” said a statement on the account of the Dave Matthews Band Instagram.

The ceremony will collect money for those affected by Los Angeles fires.

Musicares of the year, from which he withdrew, will be held on Friday and honors The Grful Dead. Non -profit organizations support musicians with financial, personal and medical assistance.

The Fireaid concert was rapidly laid after the fires destroyed many societies in Los Angeles earlier this month.

Dave Matthews was scheduled to perform with John Mayer at the exhibition at the Kia Forum.

Mayer wrote on his stories at Instagram on Wednesday evening that he was sending “all my love to Dave, who will be in a spirit with me in Fireaidla.”
