Mia Love, the first black Republican lawmaker in the United States, died at Utah 49, her family said.
She died peacefully on Sunday.
Love, the daughter of Haiti immigrants, represented Utah in the House of Representatives.
Her daughter Abigale said earlier this month that LOVE no longer responded to the treatment of brain cancer.

Mia Love’s political career began in 2003 when Sarato took place at the Springs City Council and later became a 34 -year -old market.
In 2014, she was elected to the US House of Representatives. As the daughter of Haiti immigrants, she made history the first black Republican woman and served as two terms.
Four years later, her reelection bid ended with the defeat of Democratic competitor Ben Mac Adams.
