Zelensky confirms Ukraine troops active in Russia’s Belgorod region

President Ukrainian President VolodyMyr Zelensky first publicly admitted that his army was working in the Belgo road region of Russia.

“We continue to perform active operations in the border of the enemy’s territory, and it is absolutely justified. The war must come back there.”

His opinion also mentioned the Kursk area of ​​Russia, which has a small region even after a big attack last year. Moscow has since restarted most of the territory since then.

Zelensky said that the “main goal” protects the Ukrainian SUMY and Kharkiv border areas, especially in other parts of the vast front line of the Eastern Donetsk region.

The Russian army reported last month that Ukrainians reported to go to the Bello Gorod area, but that attack was rejected.

Russian President Vladimir Putin began an invasion of Ukraine in 2022, and Moscow is currently controlling about 20%of Ukrainian territory.

Zelensky said in a late Monday video address that his chief commander, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said, “In the Kursk and Belgorod regions,” he said.

Zelensky was grateful for several army troops defending Ukraine, including the 225th assault solidarity deployed in the Belgorod region.

“Good job, guys! I’m proud of everyone who fights Ukraine!” The president said.

He no longer provided details. It is his first obvious recognition of the Ukrainian army in Bello Gorod.
