Russia and Ukraine began an air attack that damaged each other’s infrastructure, a few hours after President Vladimir Putin said he would not target Ukrainian energy sites.
President Ukrainian President VolodyMyr Zelensky said Russian goals include hospitals and power supplies. He said a Russian leader refused a comprehensive ceasefire in a call with US President Donald Trump on Tuesday.
Putin said Trump would be effective only if Ukrainian allies stopped military support. Ukraine’s European alliance was previously rejected.
Officials in southern Russia, Krasnodar, said the Ukrainian drone attack caused a small fire in the oil warehouse.
A few hours after Putin agreed to stop the attack on the energy infrastructure, Zelensky said, “Including Sumy Hospital, there was a blow to civilian infrastructure.”
Zelensky said he had fired more than 40 drones in Ukraine for several hours after Russia received a call between Trump and Putin.
Zelensky said, “Russian night attacks are types of night attacks that destroy the normal life of the energy, infrastructure and Ukrainians.
“Today, Putin has effectively rejected a complete ceasefire proposal.”
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry said that 35 people who were intercepted and destroyed overnight about 57 Ukrainian drones were in the Koursk border.
In Belgorod, a Russian region on the border with Ukraine, the governor said that the situation is “difficult.” Moscow said on Tuesday that Ukrainian troops attempted to assault Belgo Road, but were pushed back.
Putin rejected immediate and complete ceasefire in Ukraine and agreed to stop attacks on energy infrastructure at a lot of expectations with Trump.
The Russian leader has not joined the truce for a comprehensive month when the Trump team recently worked with the Ukrainians in Saudi Arabia.
The US conversation on Ukraine is scheduled to continue in Jedda, Saudi Arabia on Sunday, and Steve Witkoff is a special envoy to the Middle East.
Zelensky said in September that about 80%of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure was destroyed by a Russian bomb.
KYIV in turn, drones and missiles were deeply striking in Russian territory, oil and gas facilities.
