Sheriff control of Tokoron Prison in 2023

In September 2023, President Nicolas Maduro Venezuela dispatched 11,000 soldiers to shoot prison in northern Tokoro in northern Aragua. But they were not dispatched to suppress the riots.

The army controlled prison from a powerful gang and converted it to something in the resort and was completed with a zoo, restaurant, nightclub, betting shop and swimming pool.

But Hector Guerrero Flores, the boss of the gang, escaped.

The TREN de Aragua Organization is now in Donald Trump’s cross -haired to remove foreign criminals from the United States as part of a pledge for illegal immigrants to exile illegal immigrants.

What we know about Tren de Aragua is:

How did the gang start?

According to the US State Department, Tren de Aragua originally said that Hector Guerrero Flores has been changed to a “national criminal organization.”

The 41 -year -old Guerrero Flores has been in tokorón for more than 10 years.

He escaped in 2012 by bribing guards and was relocated in 2013. When he returned, he changed the prison to a leisure complex.

And according to the US State Department, he has expanded the influence of the gang beyond the gate of prison, and seizes the crossing of the secret boundary between Venezela and Colombia in Bolivarch.

The name of the gang is translated into “Aragua’s train” and may have come from the railroad labor union.

Luis Izquiel, a professor of criminal science at the Venezuela Central University, told the BBC that the union had to cross the Aragua to robs the contractor and sell the jobs at the workplace.

Tren de Aragua has been extended to Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile under the leadership of Guerrero Flores, and has diversified immigrants with sexual relations, contract murder and kidnapping.

How big is the gang?

Tren de Aragua has been spreading in Venezuela, which has entered humanitarian and economic emergencies in 2014, which is less profitable and nodes in eight countries, including the United States.

Ronna Rísquez, a reporter who wrote a decisive book about this organization last year, estimated that last year’s 5,000 members of the group and annual profits were estimated at $ 10 million to $ 15 million.

Others estimated their membership in about half of the numbers.

Chile’s prosecution called Tren de Aragua a “cruel organization” that achieves goals using murder and torture.

Although smaller or wealthy than other criminal groups in Latin America, Tren de Aragua is often compared with the very violent MS-13 gangs of El Salvador.

Tren de Aragua members were accused of kidnapping Venezuela opposition soldiers Ronald Ozeda, who was found to have been buried in Santiago, Chile in March 2024 after wearing a Chilean police officer.

At the time, under President Joe Biden, the US Treasury said last summer that the gang was involved in sex traffic throughout the US border.

Is there a threat in the United States?

Saturday, Trump caused the actions of the 18th -century aliens, accused the enemies of the 18th -century aliens accused Trende Ara Gua as “threatening, attempting, and threatening the looting invasion of the territory of the United States.”

He said the gang is engaged in the “irregular war” with the United States under the direction of President Nicholas Maduro.

Immediately after he took office in January, Trump declared Trend Ara Gua as a foreign terrorist organization and placed it in the same category as an Islamic country and the same category as Boko Haram, a Nigerian Islamic armed forces.

In Texas, Florida, New York, and Illinois, Trende de Aragua members have been arrested in recent months and have been charged with murder to kidnapping.

Last summer, NBC NEWS reported that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport estimated that 600 Venezuelan immigrants in the United States were related to the gang, and 100 were considered members.
