New Civil Liberty Alliance, Conservative Legal Group, filed a lawsuit against Trump administration for introduction Tariffs on Chinese imports.
The trial filed by the Federal Court in Florida claims that Trump lacks the legal powers to introduce broad tariffs presented on Wednesday, as well as duties authorized on February 1 in accordance with the Law on the International Economic State (IEEPA).

The senior lawyer of the NCLA trial, Andrew Morris, claimed that Trump, imposing heavy tariffs for Chinese imports, “abused” emergency powers “, usurped the right of Congress to control the tariffs and upset the separation of the Constitution.”
NCLA filed a lawsuit on behalf of Simplified, Florida retailers of home management.
Trump announced on Wednesday that China would suffer from 34%of the tariffs, except 20%, which he imposed earlier this year, led to a total new levies up to 54%.
The lawsuit asks the judge to block the sale and enforce tariffs and cancel Trump’s changes to the US tariff schedule.

NCLA stated that his lawsuit was “not pressed” with the Trump’s declaration about the emergency related to apioids, “but this causes the decision to introduce tariffs without legal powers.”
The case was appointed by the US District Judge Kent Uterel, appointed Trump who stopped the key part of the former President Joe Biden Immigration policy in 2023.
