Sherdeur Sanders and Travis Hunter left big prints in just two seasons on the ground on Colorado.
Because of this, their number will be retired on Saturday in a spring game as part of the afternoon ceremony. Sanders number 2 and Hunter’s no. 12 became the fifth and sixth numbers retired at retired football program.
The dynamic tandem is joined by the attacker’s company/half -time byron White, (No. 24), guard/striker Joe Romig (No. 67), striker/return attack Bobby Anderson (No. 11) and late Rashaan Salaam (No. 19).
Hunter, who also played a wide receiver and a return blow, comes out of the campaign by Heisman Trophy. Sanders has broken many program records in conducting a foul in Colorado. It is expected that both will be a high choice on the NFL draft on April 24.
Everyone arrived at Colorado from Jackson State and were key to helping coach Deion Sanders to renovate the splendor in the lowered Buffaloes program. After 4-8 in the first season under Sanders-season, which attracted celebrities to the back and abundance of national exposure-Colorado last season 9-4 and went to Alamo Bowl.
Hunter concluded his career in Colorado with 153 catches for 1,979 meters and 20 TDs (he also had an acceleration rating). In defense, Hunter ended up with seven intercepts, he ordained 16 pierces of passage and forced the rush. All of this with opposed offenses that took place on his side of the field.
And he rarely left the field. Hunter played in a total of 2,625 recording, which led FBS in 2023 and ’24.
It was a heavy season of the Hunter Award. In addition to Heisman, he picked up the Walter Camp Award, his second direct award Paul Hornung (Bednarik Award and Bednarik Award. He also took home Lott Impact Trophy as a national defensive player of the year and the Biletnikoff Award as the best receiver.
Sherdeur Sanders left his own hardware -the Johnny Unitas Award, which was handed over to the top QB, College Football. He was named Big 12 offensive player of the year in 2024.
Sanders broke more than 100 school grades while he was at a buffalo center, including a career touch, a passer -by and a percentage of completion. Sanders threw 7,364 yards and 64 TD with 71.8% by ending in his career in Colorado.
