The Czech Republic is pursuing EU support to maintain the radio free Europe/RFE/RL after the Trump administration cuts funds for global broadcasters.
JAN Lipavsky, Foreign Minister, said, RFE/RL, headquartered in Prague, said, “It is one of the reliable sources of dictatorships such as Iran, Belarus and Afghanistan.
In Eastern Europe, outlets supported by the US government have reached millions of listeners during the Cold War, helping to spread the value of the Democratic Party, and the Communist Party strictly controlled local media.
Elon Musk, who is responsible for reducing the cost of Donald Trump, dismissed RFE/RL as a torch 1B/annually, saying, “As the radical crazy people talked themselves and talked themselves.”
But Stephen Capus, president and CEO of RFE/RL, said that the subsidies of the broadcaster would be “a great gift for the US enemy.”
“Moscow and Minsk’s Ayatola, China’s communist leaders and dictators will celebrate the death of RFE/RL in 75 years.
Capus’s concerns were reversed by the Independence Committee (CPJ) to protect journalists by the Independence Committee, and complained that thousands of journalists would be hit by US funding cuts.
RFE/RL said it has reached a weekly audience for nearly 50 million people in 23 countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Iran, Afghanistan and Soviet Republic of Central Asia and Caucasus.
The Czech Foreign Minister Lipavsky said he is trying to build a “national platform” to support the BBC, but he added, “The United States must be very careful and careful, and this operation is on its own side.”
“We will try to do everything to maintain this organization with a rich state of Legacy in 75 years,” he said.
RFE/RL, Radio Free Asia and Voice of America (VOA) have been relying on funding of US Global Media (USAGM) for decades.
President Trump signed an administrative order to cut funds after MUSK destroyed them in X on Friday.
This measure contrasts with the media’s media policy of Russia, China and Iran, and has been funded to the state broadcasters to cope with the influence of Western liberalism around the world.
According to the AFP News Agency, most of the former employees of VOA spent their administrative vacations, and the contractor of broadcasters who dominated language services, not English, were fired, AFP News Agency reported.
