French minister apologises to Liverpool fans over Champions League chaos

Former Minister of Home Affairs of France apologized for the first time. 2022 Fiasco of Stade de France I saw Liverpool soccer supporters misunderstanding the riots.

Gérald Darmanin admitted that a security contract for the Champions League finals between Liverpool and Real Madrid was wrong and it was a mistake to criticize his first public remarks, English fans.

“It was a failure because I did not expect. It was my mistake. I was lost by precedent.”

“The victim was easy to find, and now I apologize to Liverpool supporters. They had the right to hurt. It was a mistake and failure.”

The police used tear gas for Liverpool supporters, and some fans were stupid by the French youth gangs.

Darmanin said in a long interview with Legend YouTube channels, saying that night is the “biggest failure” of his career.

“What I did not appreciate that evening is that the actual problem came from the delinquent who robbed the fans, not the English supporters.

“Our security contract was not designed for that case, we had a riot police with large boots and shields.

“Our preparation is wrong. We were looking forward to the war with Hooligans, and it was Muggers instead.”

DARMANIN and police chief Didier Lallement said in the first opinion of the problem that the dangerous crush of the stadium was largely owned by Liverpool fans.

This claim was later discussed in an independent report commissioned by the UEFA.

In another section of the interview, Darmanin said in France that “there is no more safe place.”

“What many French people can see is that (violence) is common and metastasized. It is no longer where potential problems are found.

“You can see that there are experiences in cocaine or cannabis in the smallest rural village these days.”

National Rally MP Jean-Philippe Tanguy pointed out that Darmanin has been in the government since the first election of President Emmanuel Macron in 2017.

Tungay said, “We are making a so -called difficult declaration when the French treats like gossip and the record is too fatal.”

In the 42 -year -old and political rights, Damail did nothing in the interview to eliminate the speculation that he was running to replace Macron in 2027.

“I think of presidential elections? The answer is so.”

“This doesn’t mean I will be a candidate, but now I have ambitions to do better than I see.”
