Former police officers were sentenced to imprisonment for a fatal decision against Tei, a 95 -year -old woman with dementia symptoms in Australian elderly nursing homes.
Kristian White said that after discovering Clare Nowland in May 2023, he used weapons to prevent “violent confrontation.”
But the officer did I was convicted of murder In November, the prosecution insisted that the prosecution later died of his grandmother, who later died of his grandmother.
At one point, the case caused the public’s cry by saying, “It’s different from what I had to face.”
Judge Ian Harrison delivered his sentence in Friday Friday, New South Wales (NSW) Supreme Court, and said White’s behavior in Yallambee Lodge in Kuma Village near Canberra was a “terrible mistake.”
The “obvious” reality was that Mrs. Nowland was “a fragile and confused 95 -year -old woman.”
Harrison said, “The simple but tragic fact seems to have been inevitably read, misunderstood, and misunderstood from a completely available perspective.”
This trial was called Care Home around 04:00 on May 17, 2023.
The Body CAM video warned Mrs. Nowland that he would drop the blade by aiming at the weapon before saying “Bugger it” and aiming at the weapon before firing. She fell down and shook her head and triggered a fatal brain.
The defense emphasized evidence that one of the paramedics and white police partners made Mrs. Nowland afraid of being scared of safety.
The prosecution, however, insisted on Mrs. Nowland, who used a Walker weighing less than 48 kg (105 pounds).
At the hearing last month, Mrs. Nowland’s family said that White’s “endless” and “inhuman” actions changed their lives forever.
Claire’s eldest son, Michael Nowland, told the court, “I was shocked by this rough cowardly act.”
He described his mother as “the most cared person in the world,” and said the family wants justice.
The white man did not think that Mrs. Nowland was “quite injured” in the court, and “was devastated by her death.”
White wrote to relatives as follows in the apple letter:
White worked as a police officer with the NSW police for 12 years after being convicted.
Judge Harrison said that White has already lost his job, became an unhealthy member of the community, and there is no risk of recurrence. He added that it would be difficult for former police officers to live in prison.
He sentenced him to two years of community revision order (essentially good behavior) and 425 hours of community service.
Mrs. Nowland’s death caused global anger at the use of the NSW police and withdrew a thorough investigation.
The Karen Webb commissioner described it as “terrible tragedy” that should not occur, but emphasized that the taer and training policy of power are appropriate.
